Our World-Class Facilities
The RICA Seed Center is building Rwanda’s premier hub for seed excellence—a dynamic campus designed to accelerate agricultural transformation. Our Facilities consist of;
- 11 purpose-built structures housing:
- Administrative offices and training centers
- Seed innovation unit with ISTA-certified labs
- Advanced cold storage facilities
- Greenhouse complex – Produces disease-free potato apical cuttings (early-generation seeds)
- Potato seed unit – Complete with diffused light stores, cold warehouses, and grading facilities
- Multigrain processing unit – Dedicated spaces for drying, shelling, and secure storage of staple crops
- 10-hectare research station – Field testing of resilient, high-yield varieties under real conditions
- 180-hectare irrigated farm – Precision production of elite parent seeds with pivot irrigation
