Seed Technology and Business Professional Course Application

This course aims at encouraging the acquisition of general and practical seed technology knowledge and skills relating to varietal development and production of quality seed, certification, basic processing techniques and seed as a business.

Curriculum

Within the year, the trainees cover: 

  • STB 501: Plant breeding & variety development
  • STB 502: Seed production
  • STB 503: Applied Seed Professional Research Skills
  • STB 504: Seed Processing, Storage & Logistics
  • STB 505: Seed Regulation, Testing & Quality control
  • STB 506: Seed Business Administration
  • STB 507: Applied Seed Professional Research Project 

The course is aligned with the cropping season, it is hands-on and packed with experiential learning.
